Dates: April 30, 2015

Instructor: Stacey Bachenheimer
Location: Columbia High School, Room D211-525 Academy Street Maplewood, NJ 07040

20 Time in the classroom is based on an idea made popular at Google and other companies, where employees are encouraged to spend 20% of their work week working and developing products of their own choice.  Gmail was a result of a 20 Time project at Google and yellow sticky notes were developed by 20 Time at 3M.

20 Time in the classroom establishes a student driven, passion-based learning environment.  20 Time gives students autonomous, personalized learning time each week.  During 20 Time students question, think, learn and explore things they love and are curious about.  The teacher does not tell the students what to learn, they are in control of their own learning.
