Help your students investigate any place-based questions with online mapping tools.  You and your students can do what professionals do: find internet-based data, ask—and answer—geographical questions about that data, and create maps to tell your story.  Participants will get an evaluation copy of the leading GIS software as well as pointers to many online mapping tools and lessons.  We’ll also explore how to use a GPS devise to map your own data.

Best for teachers of science, social studies, geography, research, grades 6-12.
