This course is designed for anyone who works with English Language Learners- ESL teachers, classroom teachers, special area teachers and special education teachers. This interactive, highly participatory program will provide you with activities and ideas that you can repeatedly implement by simply changing the content to engage the students. The four domains of language instruction- speaking, reading, writing and listening, will be addressed through cooperative learning activities and other strategies designed to involve all the students in your class. WIDA's can do descriptors will be introduced and used as a resource for developing appropriate lessons. Best suited for elementary and middle school teachers, but can be adapted for other grade levels.
