TITLE: Teaching for Critical Thinking

This course will focus on creating an environment and developing strategies for promoting critical thinking in the classroom. We will work on developmentally appropriate methods for modeling thinking, questioning strategies, problem-solving, metacognition, listening skills, and classroom interaction. Participants will be encouraged to examine their own lessons and units to infuse critical thinking throughout the curriculum. This course fulfills the MSUNER requirement for Teaching for Critical Thinking for Clinical Faculty Members.

NOTE: This course will be conducted 100% online through the Canvas Learning Management System. This course will involve independent work as well as some small assignments each week. All assignments must be completed to get PD credit for the course.
