This mini-course will help you to consider the meaning of Social Responsibility, the obligation to act to benefit society at large, for educators and in schools. The group leaders-members of a Social Responsibility Study Group now in its 5th year-will share information about their past and current work celebrating and promoting social responsibility in their classrooms and districts. Attendees will learn how social responsibility can be integrated into the curriculum at elementary through high school levels including educators in various professional capacities. Course leaders promise you that you will walk away with lots of ideas and specific plans for encouraging and celebrating social responsibility in the classroom, school, district and community.
