This mini-course is designed for new clinical faculty members, but is open to all who are interested. It will provide an over-view of the MSU teacher education program including: The Portrait of a Teacher, feedback, conferencing, mentor roles and responsibilities, and an examination of various dimensions of the cooperating teacher-junior faculty member relationship. Strategies for Mentoring and Coaching will be explored as well as clinical supervision with an emphasis on the co-teaching collaborative model. *This mini course fulfills the clinical faculty requirement for Strategies for Mentoring and Coaching.
