SUMMARY:Teacher Incentive Grant (TIG) Request for Proposals
DESCRIPTION:The Montclair State University Network for Educational Ren
 ewal is offering the MSUNER Teacher Incentive Grant for the 2011-2012 
 school year.\nThe purpose of this grant is to encourage teachers to en
 hance student learning. To accomplish this, a teacher can experiment w
 ith new teaching strategies, improve skills, develop a class project, 
 etc. This grant is for a teacher who would like to work on a specific 
 short-term project. All you need is an idea. Here are a few examples t
 o start you thinking:• Using Music and Movement to Embed Learning•
  I’m an Entomologist• Using Film Study to Enhance Literacy Instruc
 tion• Wii Academy• Fun with FractionsProjects will be funded in th
 e range of $100 – $200, depending on the project. Funding may only b
 e used for resources. The grant will give you a chance to try out a ne
 w initiative. If you think about it, you try out new ideas every year.

 epted through January 30, 2012, with notification of awards made by Fe
 bruary 3, 2012.A committee will review all proposals. Selection will b
 e based on how strongly the project affects student learning and achie
 vement. Grants will be distributed throughout the Network.Proposal req
 uirements:1. Active Clinical Faculty status is required.2. A brief wr
 itten report will be due at the completion of the project but no later
  than June 1, 2012. The report will include a log of expenditures and
