Join us for a half-day workshop exploring possibilities and opportunities for teacher activism both inside and outside the classroom.

General Session

General session speakers include Ira Shor, author and teacher educator; Stan Karp, retired teacher and advocate with the Education Law Center; and Mark Naison, professor of African American Studies and longtime community activist.

Breakout sessions

Breakout sessions include mini-workshops addressing a range of opportunities for teacher engagement in activism, including social justice in the classroom, union activism, initiating school-wide reform, and engaging parents in educational change.
