  when they enjoy learning. The objective of this workshop is for teach
 ers in all subject areas to develop ways to use comedic and dramatic i
 mprovisation in their lessons. The idea is to reveal through the impro
 v what they know about the characters (real or abstract) to the class.
 .. and also to start a class discussion on the subject.\nThe objective
 s of this course are to discover the fundamentals of improvisational c
 omedy, improve your storytelling skills, learn techniques to think qui
 ckly on your feet and to be more creative. This spirited, fun course i
 s for anyone who wants to learn the essentials of good scenic improvis
 ation or anyone who wants to improve their teamwork or communication s
 kills. Discover how to actively listen, to use your own life to create
  stories, and work on the fundamental principles of improvisation. Thr
 ough coaching, warm-up exercises, creative performance games and basic
  short-form scene-work, you will learn how to be more spontaneous, tru
 sting and cooperative and how to listen in a fun, creative atmosphere.
  We will also draw from viewing professional improv media such as “W
 hose Line is It Anyway” and other shows. Teachers will also develop 
 ideas for improvisations to be used in their own classes, and try them
  out with their colleagues during the workshop.\nThis workshop is appr
 opriate for all levels and subjects, K-12. Based upon the presentation
