Title: Let's Talk! Strategies for Communicative World Language Teaching

The presenter introduces the fundamentals of the communicative approach, then moves to the strategies. The strategies are: Movie Talk, Picture Talk, Card Talk, Calendar Talk, Book Talk, and Special Person. The presenter explains and models, then the participants practice in small groups.The presenter will have pictures, cards, and books; the participants may access videos by using their cellphones. The intended audience is K-12. World Language and ESL teachers.
