Event Description

This year’s New Jersey Council of Teachers of English conference might just be our best ever, and we want you to be a part of it. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, March 6, at Montclair State University. The price is only $24 ($16 for student members), and special discounts on membership will be offered (check njcte.org for details).

Not only will we have several engaging workshops for you to take part in, but we will feature four writers who know how to reach young adult audiences:

• Gordon Korman, author of hugely popular books for kids and young adults that should be a part of your curriculum.

• Philip Beard, author of Dear Zoe, a haunting YA novel that you’re going to recommend to your best students.

• Robert Kaplow, author of Me and Orson Welles, now a major motion picture.

• Pat Corbitt, a professional TV and film producer-director-writer for more than 40 years.

Attached is our conference flyer, with more information on how you can be a part of the festivities.

Plus, there are other benefits like:
• Discounts on your 2010-2011 NJCTE membership
• Six professional development hours for your attendance
• Vendors touting their latest wares
• Free giveaways
